The Bawadi for Peace and Development Organization is following with great concern the developments in the health situation in East Darfur State, particularly in Shaeria Locality – Khazan Jadid Administrative Unit – Al Nakhil IDP Camp. Our field office has received confirmed information indicating a cholera outbreak among IDPs and local residents.
According to reports, four confirmed deaths have been recorded:
1. Musa Shugar, 60 years old
2. Abrar Ibrahim Abkar, 14 years old
3. Abkar Bahar al-Din, 80 years old
4. Manazil Mubarak Fadl, 18 months old
Ten confirmed cases of infection have also been recorded among people of varying ages, amid warnings of the possibility of the outbreak expanding due to the near-total lack of essential serums and medicines to combat the disease.
In light of this catastrophic situation, we at the Bawadi for Peace and Development Organization appeal to:
– Relevant international and national organizations to quickly intervene and provide urgent health support.
– Local and state authorities to intensify efforts and lift the state of health emergency.
– All those who can help, from charitable organizations and civil society, to extend a helping hand and save lives.
This epidemic poses a direct threat to the lives of hundreds of displaced persons and citizens and requires immediate and coordinated action to limit its spread and provide urgent medical care to those infected.
We ask God for mercy and forgiveness for the deceased, a speedy recovery for the injured, and safety and well-being for all.
بيان حول تفشي وباء الكوليرا في ولاية شرق دارفور – محلية شعيرية – وحدة خزان جديد الإدارية

تتابع منظمة بوادي للسلام والتنمية بقلق بالغ تطورات الوضع الصحي في ولاية شرق دارفور، لا سيما في محلية شعيرية – وحدة خزان جديد الإدارية – مخيم النخيل للنازحين، حيث وردت إلى مكتبنا الميداني معلومات مؤكدة تفيد بحدوث تفشي لمرض الكوليرا وسط النازحين والسكان المحليين.
وبحسب التقارير الواردة، فقد تم تسجيل 4 حالات وفاة مؤكدة، وهم:
1 موسى شوقار، 60 عاماً
2 أبرار إبراهيم أبكر، 14 عاماً
3 أبكر بحرالدين، 80 عاماً
4 منازل مبارك فضل، 18 شهراً
كما تم رصد 10 حالات إصابة مؤكدة لأشخاص من أعمار متفاوتة، وسط تحذيرات من إمكانية توسع رقعة الانتشار بسبب الانعدام شبه الكامل للأمصال والأدوية الأساسية لمكافحة المرض.
إننا في منظمة بوادي للسلام والتنمية، وإزاء هذا الوضع الكارثي، نناشد:
-المنظمات الدولية والوطنية ذات الصلة بسرعة التدخل وتوفير الدعم الصحي العاجل.
-السلطات المحلية والولائية بتكثيف الجهود ورفع حالة الطوارئ الصحية.
-كل من يستطيع المساعدة من الجهات الخيرة والمجتمع المدني، لتقديم يد العون وإنقاذ الأرواح.
إن هذا الوباء يشكل تهديداً مباشراً لحياة المئات من النازحين والمواطنين، ويستدعي تحركاً فورياً ومنسقاً للحد من انتشاره وتقديم العناية الطبية العاجلة للمصابين.
نسأل الله الرحمه والمغفره للمتوفين وعاجل الشفاء للمصابين والسلامة والعافية للجميع.
