Statement of Condemnation on the Kutom Massacre – North Darfur

Bawadi Peace and Development Organization strongly condemns the bombing that targeted the town of Kutom in North Darfur during a social gathering. The attack, carried out using a drone operated by the Sudanese army, resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of innocent civilians, including women and children. Entire families were wiped out in this horrific massacre.
This crime, along with other repeated violations, constitutes a grave breach of international humanitarian law and cannot be justified under any circumstances.
The organization affirms that the Sudanese army and the armed extremist militias allied with it bear full responsibility for these violations, which occur within a systematic pattern of targeting civilian gatherings, including residential neighborhoods and healthcare facilities.
Bawadi Organization expresses its deep concern over the continued international silence regarding these crimes, which contributes to the worsening crisis and reinforces a climate of impunity.
Accordingly, the organization calls on the international community, human rights organizations, and UN mechanisms to take urgent and effective action to halt these violations, ensure the protection of civilians, and initiate independent investigations leading to accountability in accordance with international law.

Mercy for the victims, swift recovery for the injured, and justice for those affected.
