In an interview with Sudanese News online newspaper, the director of the Sudanese Bawadi for Peace and Development Organization, based in Kampala, Uganda, announced an ambitious initiative to propose a joint charter uniting Sudanese civil society organization in the city. During a special interview, General Director Mr. Habib Mohamed Younis affirmed that the organization aims to promote principles of civil peace and community coexistence amid the political and social divisions that have extended into refugee communities as a result of the war. He explained that the charter is intended to counter hate speech and create a unified platform for collaboration among Sudanese groups, along with establishing regulatory mechanisms to reduce conflict in refugee environments.
Younis added that the organization had observed deliberate clashes between Sudanese groups in Kampala, driven by political polarization and harsh living conditions. He pointed out that their activities focus on community awareness about civil peace, building refugee capacity for integration into Ugandan society, and organizing dialogue forums to enhance social cohesion. They also support peaceful participation in public affairs and partnerships with stakeholders to build a safe and inclusive environment. Furthermore, the organization conducts activities inside Sudan, including documenting human rights violations and supporting peace efforts despite security challenges.
He noted that the charter was the result of extensive consultations and the formation of a coordination committee to manage it, alongside open dialogues with grassroots organizations. The final version will be presented soon through a comprehensive consultative symposium. He expressed hope that other organizations will respond positively to the initiative, which he described as a call for unity and prioritizing the public interest.
Younis concluded with a message to refugee communities, stressing: “Do not bring the war to the places you fled to.” He urged refugees to view exile as an opportunity to rebuild what was destroyed, not to repeat past failures. He reminded them that the role of civil organizations is to protect people, not to worsen their situations. He emphasized that unity is strength and division threatens everyone, highlighting the importance of building a collective humanitarian message and safeguarding their legal rights in Uganda. He ended with a call to support Sudanese civil society and to commit to responsible action, stating: “Sudan needs us united, not divided.”

في مقابلة صحفية لمدير منظمة بوادي للسلام والتنمية مع صحيفة السودانية نيوز الالكترونية، أعلنت منظمة بوادي للسلام والتنمية السودانية في العاصمة الأوغندية كمبالا عن مبادرة طموحة لطرح ميثاق عمل مشترك يجمع منظمات المجتمع المدني السودانية بالمدينة وذلك خلال مقابلة خاصة مع المدير العام الأستاذ الحبيب محمد يونس الذي أكد أن المنظمة تسعى لترسيخ مبادئ السلم الأهلي والتعايش المجتمعي في ظل الانقسامات السياسية والاجتماعية التي امتدت لمجتمعات اللجوء نتيجة الحرب موضحًا أن الميثاق يهدف لمواجهة خطاب الكراهية وخلق أرضية عمل مشتركة بين المكونات السودانية مع وضع آليات تنظيمية تحد من التضارب في بيئات اللجوء
وأضاف يونس أن المنظمة رصدت احتكاكات مفتعلة بين مجموعات سودانية بكمبالا ناتجة عن الاستقطاب السياسي والظروف المعيشية الصعبة مشيرًا إلى أن أنشطتهم تركز على التوعية المجتمعية بالسلم الأهلي وبناء قدرات اللاجئين للاندماج في المجتمع الأوغندي وإقامة ندوات حوارية لتعزيز التماسك المجتمعي مع دعم المشاركة السلمية في الشأن العام والشراكة مع الجهات الفاعلة لبناء بيئة آمنة تحترم التعدد كما تقوم المنظمة بأنشطة داخل السودان عبر توثيق الانتهاكات ودعم جهود السلام رغم التحديات الأمنية
وأشار إلى أن الميثاق جاء بعد مشاورات واسعة وتشكيل لجنة تنسيقية لإدارته مع عقد حوارات مفتوحة مع منظمات قاعدية حيث سيتم طرح النسخة النهائية خلال الفترة القادمة عبر ندوة تشاورية شاملة معربًا عن أمله في استجابة المنظمات الأخرى للمبادرة التي تعد دعوة لوحدة الصف وتغليب المصلحة العامة
وختم يونس برسائل لمجتمعات اللجوء مؤكدًا أن “لا تنقلوا الحرب إلى حيث هربتم منها” داعيًا إلى جعل اللجوء محطة لبناء ما دمر لا لتكرار الفشل ومذكرًا بأن دور المنظمات المدنية حماية الناس لا تأزيم أوضاعهم مضيفًا أن الوحدة قوة والشتات يهدد الجميع مع ضرورة استثمار وجودهم في بناء خطاب إنساني جامع والحرص على حقوقهم القانونية في أوغندا خاتمًا بالدعوة لدعم المجتمع المدني السوداني والالتزام بالعمل المسؤول لأن “السودان يحتاجنا موحدين لا متنازعين”.
