A report on the success of the circumcision initiative organized by Bawadi Organization for Peace and Development in cooperation with a group of organizations at the Teriaq Medical Center – Kampala – Kawempe.
As part of efforts to promote public health and advance society, Bawadi Organization for Peace and Development in cooperation with a group of partner organizations organized a successful initiative for mass circumcision, which targeted 130 children in a safe and appropriate environment.









The objectives of the initiative:
1. Raising health awareness among the targeted families.
2. Providing circumcision services in a medical and healthy manner that ensures the safety of children.
3. Reducing the financial burden on refugees by providing the service for free.
4. Contributing to reducing the risks of diseases resulting from unhealthy traditional circumcision practices.
Implementation details
Coordination and partnership:
The initiative was carried out in cooperation between Bawadi Organization for Peace and Development and a number of local organizations, where medical personnel and health supplies were provided.
Preparation:
The preparations included holding awareness sessions for families to explain the importance of safe circumcision and how to care for children after the procedure.
Activities:
130 children were circumcised and divided into groups for five consecutive days under the supervision of specialized medical teams, with health care and follow-up provided after the operation.

The event was covered to highlight the importance of the initiative and shed light on community partnerships.
Results and Impact:
1. Medical Success: All operations were completed successfully and without any health complications.
2. Community Satisfaction: Families expressed their great satisfaction with the quality of the service provided.

Conclusion
