Practical workshop on monitoring and documenting human rights violations in Sudan (Darfur and Kordofan)

Sudan has witnessed a very significant transition in regards to human rights violation over last three years since the war broke out in April 2023 and before, there has been a notable human rights violation reports and documents showed sever and brutal atrocities, such extrajudicial killing, abductions, massive executions, rapes, war crimes, crimes against humanity and crimes to be considered as genocide against particular groups of people and specific regions.
Background: monitoring and documenting human rights violation workshop is a practical training for CSOs,NGOs,INGOs and NNGOs, human right defenders and advocates, men and women activists and acting youth in the field of human rights
Objective : The workshop objective is to improve the knowledge of the mention institutions and individuals on monitoring and documenting human rights violations
General goals:
- Improve participants capacity
- Develop reports writing skills
- National, regional and international mechanisms for human rights protection
- Spreading the culture of civilian protection and countering violence extremism
Justifications: the absence of justice and lack of awareness amongst the activists, some organizations and community memebers
Founding fact: after a very close work and interaction with the locals in Darfur and Kordofan, Bawadi field working team found out that there is a dire need for monitoring and documenting the human rights violation that are now carried out by perpetrators and criminals who are now practicing atrocities against innocent unarmed civilians for are not part of the war.

Partnership requirements
- Partnership should be a humanitarian organization, CSOs, NGO, NNGO, INGO or United Nations agency or a socially committed private company works in the field of human rights, partner could also an individual human rights defender or facilitator, businessperson or business foundation works against human rights violation.
- Partnership should be based on recognized contribution, weather financial, technical or even consultative.
- Partnership based on cooperation and principles of protecting people and stand against human rights violation in any from.
- Journalism services companies, media houses, individual journalists who are interested in documenting human rights violation for protecting human and people’s rights.
- Prominent individual lawyers and law professionals who are expert in human rights and protection of unarmed civilians and advocates for none violence extremism
- Research institution and study centers working on human rights protection and human rights violations, countering violence extremism
